Refined. Honest. Independent.
SOVRN was founded with three basic principles. The first is to pursue business relationships that are healthy and honest, and that benefit all participants. The next is to ensure that each project succeeds through the application of our knowledge and expertise and the delivery of appropriate solutions for the intended audience. Finally, we want to work with organizations that have the courage to stand apart, and see the value in great creative and effective marketing.

Quick wit and a razor tongue may best describe this accomplished designer/producer from Boise, Idaho. The last fifteen years of hard work and dedication to his craft have sharpened his creative skills. His experience also includes managing a team of 20+ producers, art directors, designers, video editors, motion graphics artists, illustrators, flash developers, and writers. Attention to detail and overall pride are the driving factors in what makes "Bus" who he is today. Brian's idea of a perfect day starts with meticulous yardwork and ends with a cold Natural Light while hanging out with his wife and two daughters.
Philip McLain

Philip grew up in Middleton, Idaho, where he spent long days buckin' hay and setting siphon tubes. With a life-long passion for illustration, he wound up at Caldwell High pursuing drafting and advertising design courses, and finished his education at Boise State University with a degree in graphic design. From there, he went on to work as an art director at local ad agencies and collected numerous local and regional awards for advertising, packaging and corporate identity. Philip spends his free time mountain biking, snowboarding and fishing with his wife and two kids. He also enjoys backyard BBQ's and fixing up old bikes.
Joe Rice
joe@sovrncreative.com208.841.2391
Growing up on a farm in Hill City, Idaho didn't give Joe the opportunities that come with big-city living, but it did teach him the importance of doing something you love. No neighbors also meant more time spent reading, badger-fighting, watching bad action movies, and home-cooked meals. In addition to his parents, Joe credits a combination of Louis L'Amour, Legos™, Steven Seagal, rodeo queens and farming with what can only be classified as "a great upbringing." Now, a wife and two daughters help Joe with his transition to full-blown adulthood; that, and an absurd addiction to golf.
Sean Rodman
sean@sovrncreative.comBorn in Texas, raised in Kansas, educated in Chicago and having spent the last decades working in Indiana, Sean is a new addition both to SOVRN and to the city of Boise. He started in advertising as an assistant account executive at a large, nationally-known advertising agency but very early on developed a taste for writing. For the last 12 years Sean was creative director, chief writer and broadcast producer at a 20-person advertising agency in Fort Wayne, IN before he and his wife decided to follow their dream of living out West. Additional duties included brand development, marketing strategy and commercial direction. His favorite quote is that advertising, "shouldn't be like medicine, it should be like candy." Sean's loves, aside from writing, include his wife and two sons, fitness, live music, mountain climbing and craft beer.
Chris Beaudoin

He is a gifted designer who's especially skilled in the area of motion graphics and 3D animation. His skills also include graphic design, video editing, and sound design. Chris is a graduate of Boise State University with a BFA in Design. When he isn't creating something awesome he's wakeboarding, riding motorcycles, playing football and generally making the rest of us feel old and lazy.
Nicole Cahill
nicole@sovrncreative.comNicole comes to SOVRN fresh out of Boise State University where she recently graduated with a BFA in Design. Not only does Nicole have a great eye, but her designs always have a strategic conceptual basis. When not immersed in the world of graphic art, NIcole likes to make extravagant cakes, attend music festivals and indulge her love of candy. She also has a passion for working with adults with disabilities, a job she did all through college.
